Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Value i bought this Pruner a few days ago to remove a couple if overgrown trees on my property. My aim was to uaebthe pruner to remove the branches and then use my stihl chainsaw to remove the 5" tree trunk. Removing all of the tree branches with my brand new pruner was a breeze and accomplished in 10 minutes. I then planned to fire up my chainsaw to remove the tree trunk. Before shutting off the pruner, i tried to saw through the 5" trunk. With minimal effort, the pruner ate through the oak tree trunk. Truly amazing. I didn't realize that i had actually purchased as self contained tree remover for small trees! I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and recognize the true value of this pruner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great Saw I purchased this saw due to a wind storm that had partially knocked down about 80 trees on my property which posed a very serious situation. All of the trees were just out of reach of being able to use a regular chainsaw and laying against other trees about 14 feet off the ground. I spent about 4 weeks cutting limbs and knocking down the trunks close enough to the ground to be able to finish with a regular saw. To my surprise, I didn't even need to get out the regular chainsaw. This thing worked awesome it sliced through everything I threw at it including tree trunks that were up to 18" in diameter. I cut what must have been 30 cords of wood and never even dulled up the chain. Mind you I was doing all of this in -10 to -25f temps. After that chore was completed, I decided to use my pole saw to cut up an old barn that was half caved in. Again it worked awesome for this purpose as I could stay far enough away from things as they came tumbling down. Not until I found a nail did the chain even become dull. My only complaint is that none of the local dealers stocked a replacement chain for this particular saw. But they gladly ordered it for me.Overall an awesome purchase and I will be looking at some other Stihl products this summer!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The saw is well balanced and not very loud. There are a lot of pole saws on the market these days. Most are corded and some are battery driven. You are limited by the length of your extension cord or the size of your battery. Stihl has the only motor driven pole saws that looked worth owning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice pole saw I am a deer hunter and use the pole saw for preparing hunting lanes. I have used the bigger and heavier saws, but like the weight and easy start of this saw. I have several Stihl products: (2)chain saws, tiller, (2) leaf blowers, (2) trimmers, and would recommend any of these products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little saw Used this saw for the first time this weekend and wasn't disappointed. Great power and balanced very well. Wish I had bought one years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw I looked around at various brands of pole saws. This one is not cheap, but u do get what you pay for. I really like the separation of the shaft, which makes it possible to fit into my covered pickup bed. It saws through wood like a hot knife through butter. So far so good and I purchased a case of oil to get an extended warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HT 56 C-E pole prunner I purchased this pole saw knowing it was a residential series, but so far I've done lots of light and medium pruning and the pole saw has worked like a pro. I like the easy start and that fact that I've been able to use it without any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT & affordable I bought an ECHO the day before I bought this one and there is NO COMPARISON of the two. The ECHO was 7' and a FIXED length, which was a transporting problem in my small car. The Stihl is 9' long and the shaft separates into 2 pieces. The ECHO was UNDERPOWERED and not as balanced. Starts very easy and can really cut. I am looking for more limbs to trim at my house and even the neighbors. So glad I bought THIS ONE!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from typical stihl exellence if you want a product that will last you might not want to try the big box stores. my local stihl dealer, mower medic, carrollton texas always is top shelf. won' trust another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use this is a good product. I had about 10 trees to prune on my property. The saw worked very well and was easy to handle. I have had STIHL chain saws all of my adult life. I still have a old Super 45 Av chain saw that is running well when needed that is 35 years old or so. I think this pole saw will last as long. I also have 2 other STIHL chain saw and a leaf blower. They all work well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a champ every time. The pruner starts easily and is not bulky or heavy to use. It saws through branches quickly and efficiently. I really like the fact that it separates into two pieces which makes it handy to transport. This pruner is a great tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great so far. I have wanted a pole saw for some time. I finally got me one. Sure is nice to be able to stand on the ground and cut those pesky out of reach limbs. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. This easy start option is the cats meow. I would recommend that anyone debating on getting one of these, you'll not be sorry. At least I'm not. This HT 56 C-E, is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for trimming small branches without standing on a ladder. Purchased immediately after an ice storm where we had broken branches on numerous trees. Almost everyone in our town of about 60,000 people suffered similar problem. I could have either waited in line for a tree service for up to 3 weeks or purchase my won pole pruner. Glad I did as I had my yard cleaned up within 24 hours of the storm clearing out. The device was easy to start, simple to use and overall much safer than using a regular chain saw by climbing a tree or standing on a ladder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool I purchased this pole pruner 2 years ago and I couldn't be happier. My local dealer did not stock this model because they did not think anyone would want the lightweight version. I extended and handled each of the professional models and could not imagine working for hours with these tools. I ordered the homeowner version knowing from experience that Still doesn't cut corners on the homeowner models like some big-box suppliers do. The 10 inch bar is adequate for just about any limb you would care to cut 10 feet above your head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome and dependable Just got this for Christmas and after 6 months, I've used it quite a bit on 10 acres loaded full of trees. I cut alot of larger limbs that's probably not recommended with small chain but it cuts it like butter. Thankful I finally got a pruner, and I only requested a Stihl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed and worth the purchase All around perfect purchase for me. Starts easy, powerful, oil and gas fills are of high quality, chain adjustment is easy. I have already completed many trim jobs in a very safe manner that have been waiting for years.
